Do Gooder conducts significant outreach to the general public about the work of its partnering charities: from inclusion of information on the charities associated with a particular production in all press and promotional material, to full-page showbill ads and lobby displays at the theater. Over the years, the press (from the alternative to the major dailies and TV and radio media) have included mention and descriptions of the charities along with their reviews and editorial coverage of Do Gooder's productions, thereby providing informational and educational outreach to tens of thousands of additional individuals about the theater company's charity partners. The theater/community partnership takes the form of Do Gooder providing the theatergoing and general public with information and press coverage of the work of these agencies and the charities helping Do Gooder develop new audiences for theater from among their supporters and community bases. Over the years, Do Gooder has also operated an At-Risk Youth Internship program, provided recreational activity for the partnering charities' clients, and hosted post-performance question-and-answer sessions focused upon the links between the production and the community.
